"Aw crap, it's on Banzai..."
Most older Metal fans & collectors should have uttered those words on a number of occations in the 80's and 90's, after turning over what could have been the Find Of The Day on their weekend record hunting trips. Back then, these Canadian pressings were often considered 'cheapo' and '2nd rate' but this view has changed in post-milennial times and now Banzai - and in particular the "Speed Metal-swirl series" - is considered both very 'kült' and very collectable. I've tagged all 18 of these releases with the swirl-logo in the 'Special'-column.

I'm not going to go into much more detail about the label and its history here, since this was covered with violence & force decades ago, namely by the still uncontested MUTHA' of Banzai-pages:



Just like any discogs.com, wikipedia or other pages around today, the list below is basically 99% Daniel's work, so you might as well click the link above rather than scroll down. The only reason I finally decided to add a local copy of the label's discography here at The Corroseum, was that so its inclusion into the database would produce more consistent results in band- and title searches.
