What hotel are you guys staying at? I wouldn't mind paying for a lift to and from the event each day, but I'm definitely not renting a car as that's turned out to be a huge hassle in any of my travel experiences.stormspell wrote:^^ Unfortunately it seems all hotels within walking distance are already booked by regular KIT-goers... Renting a car seems the only logical option. Luckily for me one of the buddies I'm going with does not drink, so he will be the chauffeur

We havent booked anything yet. One of my buddies tried several hotels closest to the venue and they were all booked, so we decided to rent a car and book a hotel when the time comes. I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of available hotels at driveable distance (10-15km hopefully).Avenger wrote:What hotel are you guys staying at? Haha, if I was 15-20 years younger (and 30-40 kilos lighter) I wouldn't have thought twice about grabbing a tent, but nowadays I definitely look for a decent bed and a shower in the morning... Yes, we usually find many available ones at that distance, even less than a month before the festival.stormspell wrote:I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of available hotels at driveable distance (10-15km hopefully).

Khund: So you survived all that Katatonia and Voivod that was blasting out of one of our cars?

SPA hotel definitely sounds better than sovdat's offer (Katatonia, yuck!), thanks for the tip.Sgt. Don't know if that's full yet, but we always stay at the Rebenhof in Beckstein, which is about a 40 minute walk (if you're slow, lazy or drunk) away from the festival site.

I'm looking at DAMIEN THORNE's page at M-A right now and while I am reading that the band is active, the current singer is some guy named Martin DeBourge. And the question is: Won't they play with Justin Fate next year? That would be a major disappointment for me as they are the band I want to see the most..
