Ruler of the Wasteland. It's somewhere around the top ten of US metal albums for me. Fuckin' ace. The 7th of Never is a close second. Voice of the Cult is good for the most part too, and those three wrap up everything you need by Chastain.
As for CJSS, it's not really bad, but Chastain is vastly superior.
I Voted "Ruler Of The Wasteland", damn great record followed by the great debut. I'm not familiar with the rest, but I think they can't top the first two, right?

I buyed the cd with the two CJSS albums before years.But as far as i remember i never bothered to hear it more than once or twice.After all who needs another Virtuozite band?Chastain/CJSS is a kind of band for those who think that technicity is the most important thing in a band.
I believe the exactly oppposite(that technicity ruins metal) so this thing is not for me!

I was thinking similar formerly, nevertheless bought some CHASTAIN LPs some time and can't agree here anymore. Don't know about CJSS, but CHASTAIN are pretty great and not such a guitar-hero-fingerboard-jerking kind of thing in my opinion..
ref. the poll: as I am only missing "Voice of the Cult" from the first 5 - I can't truly decide between "Mystery of Illusion" and "Ruler of the Wasteland" - Mystery.. has a knight and a naked chick on the cover but lacks a dragon so I think my vote goes for "Ruler.." then (plus there has been a cover of "Angel of Mercy" by Hammerfall <- sorry for warming up old jokes but I needed to do that anytime, see if it is still working..)
