I've been thinking a lot about Invasion,Mark of the Beast and Metal and If they would qualify to be in Prog Archives under the Heavy Prog and Space/Psychedelic sections.

Probably. "Cage Of Mirrors" is about as proggy as prog gets.

I can see it for the early material, especially the 'dreams of eschaton' (sp) session

Same here, but just because they have some proggier songs doesn't mean they should be in the Prog Archives... of course this is just my opinion though.

With Invasion, perhaps.

You gave me an idea to snick them into GEPR as well.

I'm not really sure if Iron Maiden should be in the prog archives.

Really? I think they're a lot more progressive than bands like, for example, Queensryche. When I think of progressive metal that's actually progressive and actually metal, I think of Phantom of the Opera.

Their most recent material was a concept album featuring a song nearly 15 minutes in length. Case closed.
