Yeah, the way the singer stays in step with Derek St. Holmes vocal line in Stranglehold makes it sounds like more of a steal than it actually is. i tipped my hat to it by including a snippet of the isolated bass & drums from the original Stranglehold earlier in the ep.doomedplanet wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 7:48 pmThat track at 40 minutes is the ultimate 'riff-off' of Ted Nugent "Stranglehold".
And once again the song i was sure would be last to be ID'ed is actually the 1st.
That gladdens my old black heart. They went off the boil later in the decade, but there's a hot streak of 3 or 4 great E & F LPs to be enjoyed.
Outstanding sleuthing Kristian, take a well deserved bow.Khnud wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 11:13 pm Nice episode, very enjoyable as always!

Track nr. 15 is in fact 'Street Life Warrior' by an L.A. demo only band TEMPEST. This song was also featured on a soundtrack for horror b-movie "Black Roses".
Grrrreat song!
And I guess this is what Rob remembered as he surely heard it.
I'm sure i haven't featured any of those bands before Nenad, certainly not the 1st two.
In the cases of JOY & HOLY MACKEREL, yeah, to me those were the best songs they made.Noisenik wrote: ↑Wed Dec 18, 2024 5:38 pm The missing tracks I would never even dreamed of. SALTY DOG, DESIREE, JOY, HOLY MACKEREL, SABRE or HAI KARATE, with exception of JOY, all pretty unknown. And you are quite lucky to possess that BC demo.
Again I have to ask, are these songs the best those bands produces or is there even more to enjoy?
