Didn't know any of the songs but I think I recognized a couple but could not place them.

That track at 40 minutes is the ultimate 'riff-off' of Ted Nugent "Stranglehold" though.

Yeah, the way the singer stays in step with Derek St. Holmes vocal line in Stranglehold makes it sounds like more of a steal than it actually is. i tipped my hat to it by including a snippet of the isolated bass & drums from the original Stranglehold earlier in the ep.

And once again the song i was sure would be last to be ID'ed is actually the 1st.
Nice spot Nenad.

Nice episode, very enjoyable as always!

1. Sextiger - Hasse mich
2. ?? I hear the chorus as "she was fitted by the dog", but I'm sure that's not right. Great song though.
3. The Bob Seger System - Lucifer
4. ?? I've got no clue what this pomp/prog rock band is
5. Excerpts from Stranglehold
6. Young Heart Attack - Misty Rowe
7. ?? I've got no clue what this psych/hard rock band is. And I have a really hard time hearing what he's singing.
8. Ramones - Born To Die In Berlin (their last song?)
9. Earth And Fire – Storm And Thunder
10. Styx - Witch Wolf
11. ?? - A song about holding on to your soul. Don't know by whom.
12. Complete and utter gibberish, this one! Troll song #1.
13. ?? - Street Light Warrior
14. ?? - Hot Potato
15. Taste - Witches Brew
16. ?? - A song about being led to her waterfall.

That gladdens my old black heart. They went off the boil later in the decade, but there's a hot streak of 3 or 4 great E & F LPs to be enjoyed.

Outstanding sleuthing Kristian, take a well deserved bow.
You do lose a point for "she was fitted by the dog" though, as that put a very unfortunate image in my head.

Track nr. 15 is in fact 'Street Life Warrior' by an L.A. demo only band TEMPEST. This song was also featured on a soundtrack for horror b-movie "Black Roses".

Grrrreat song!

And I guess this is what Rob remembered as he surely heard it.

Well spotted my friend.
I'm usually not usually a big fan of 'commercially viable' late 80's HR/HM, but Tempest walked that tightrope rather well. The songs are certainly catchy, but there was still heft & muscularity to their material coupled with a strong singer & a rather dazzling guitarist too who had been a student of Randy Rhoads apparently.
Tempest weren't quite a 'demo only band' though as the same 4 songs from their demo tape were also pressed as a rare vinyl promo-only EP:

Excellent work, Graham.

The missing tracks I would never even dreamed of. SALTY DOG, DESIREE, JOY, HOLY MACKEREL, SABRE or HAI KARATE, with exception of JOY, all pretty unknown. And you are quite lucky to possess that BC demo.

Thanks for a few echoes from a previous episode, including STYX and TASTE, and 'Lucifer' sounds better placed here.

Again I have to ask, are these songs the best those bands produces or is there even more to enjoy?

And whilst re-listening to everything that is available, am looking forward for Episode 21. Cheers again.

I'm sure i haven't featured any of those bands before Nenad, certainly not the 1st two.

In the cases of JOY & HOLY MACKEREL, yeah, to me those were the best songs they made.
The '85 SABRE demo (produced by Metal Church's Kurt Vanderhoof) is consistently good NWoBHM influenced HM/HR & the HAI KARATE album is also enjoyable throughout if somewhat derivative. The unreleased 70's SALTY DOG stuff is a bit of a mixed bag stylistically, but very well done with several more stand-out songs.
The BUNTY CHUNKS demo came via DaN, (thanks Mr. eDmaN), as a result of the discussions in the 'Non-Metal Top 20' thread. Crazy very technical music but it's all still ridiculously catchy somehow. One of my better recent discoveries.
Knowing something of your musical tastes i think you'd probably find a lot to enjoy in both DÉSIRÉE's 'Make It With A Smile' album & the 'Knights Of Love' LP by TASTE too.
Strong overlooked records both, though their other LP's should be approached with caution.
I only noticed 5 mins ago that i'd mistakenly numbered this episode in the artwork as #19 rather than #20. Doesn't seem like anyone noticed, but I'll fix it at some point before #21 drops in February.
