One of my top 5 US Metal bands for sure. I listen to their demos and Medieval Kills! all the time. Extremely underrated in my opinion.

Oh, and I saw that "sludge metal" label applied to them but I never understood why. Regardless of it being a genre or not, I wouldn't define them by their "sludginess".

now that i read it again constantly...someone please explain sludge to me? is it like sleazy psychie wah wah laden doom or what?

As a 'sub-genre' I more identify Sludge with the very slow tempos of later Doom Metal mixed with harsh vocals. The style has also come to incorporate a lot of other more minor influences, but yeah really tossing the term around in association with old metal is just fucking absurd and baseless.

This is probably my favorite band of all time. I don't get the sludge comparison. I know nothing on that music, but it makes no sense to me. Medieval played very dirty metallic 50's rock n' roll in my opinion. All Knobs to the Right!
