SOLAR EAGLE: very good musically, but those high vocals are way over the top for me, they become a pest for my ears at times.
XIPE: don't remember this one quite clearly, it's been a long time since i've heard it. i think it was quite good, in no way a masterpiece though
PUNO DE HIERRO: very good band, one of the better mexi-metal items. Apocalipsis are better imo.
ANTHRACITE: GREAT melodic metal LP, a hidden gem of French scene, i love it!
HUNTER: are you sure about this one? very average and boring album, couldn't stand hearing it more than once.

Solar Eagle is very good, Anthracite had some good tracks as well, while Hunter is quite average imo....

It's taken me years to get used to those vocals. Nowdays I can enjoy it anyway since the music is, after all, pretty darn excellent!

Better than expected. Could have been a cult classic if playing & production had been better.

HUNTER-Sign of the hunter
Hardly a German Top-10 in my book but still OK I guess. How's their 2nd one?

Production could have been much much better, no doubt about it, but what's wrong with playing? There are great riffs, great melodies and killer solos everywhere, maybe the BEST backing vocals i've heard in a French band, the sound is quite tight, i really don't see where's the problem with Anthracite's playing.

Solar Eagle are together with Exciter,Razor the best Canadian bands.The vocals are their main attout.I adore the vocals.The atmosphere,music are awesome too.
