Perfect Live Vocals

Post by Divine Victim »

There are a select few live performances I've witnessed or seen footage of where the singer has totally nailed his parts and given a faultless show. What are some great examples you can thing of?

Russ North at Metalbrew 2008 was spot on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuEmecTAiko

And I have to say Todd La Torre has been totally flawless the two times I've seen him with Crimson Glory this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9ZMJYgd ... 25E270473A

More historic examples are welcome too; Bruce Dickinson is perfect on Beast Over Hammersmith for example.

Yes, it truly was a stellar performance. I've seen hundreds of concerts in my life but I don't think I've ever seen (or rather, heard) a singer hitting every single note before.

This is pretty damn accurate for such a demanding song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gctls1lNrXA

That Metal Brew fest was great craic. Roasting hot day too.

Have to say Russ North at any gig is usually the most flawless live singer.

Tom Malicoat (Lethal) at KIT a couple of years ago. The best concert I have ever witnessed, and Malicoat's performance almost made me cry. Almost? Ok, I cried.

Yeah, and he's also fucking LOUD. I remember when a group of us climbed the fence to be at the front of the stage at Metalbrew, and I could hear his unamplified voice over the sound coming out of the PA!

Such a nice guy too, met him a few times and he has always been a laugh to chat to and an absolutely cool dude. Total bummer that he's not in the Hoof any more.
