Oz Lyrics

Post by Sammi Curr »

This is just a "help me" thread essentially: Does anyone on here know the lyrics to "Stop Believing?" We're attempting to put that song in the live set, and I have the original combat vinyl but for the life of me I can't find transcribed lyrics anywhere.

Tried:

OZ - "Stop Believin'"

"When you listen to the rumours today don’t you ever think they tell lies?
When the politician speaks to you can’t you see the greed in his eyes?
If you trust a man he will stab you in the back and the wheel keeps churning on
Must be prepared for an attack and the heat keeps burning on

When the preacher’s eyes don’t set you free can’t you see his hand clapping ?
Old generals in the uniforms are waiting for a final clash
If you break the law the law breaks you and the wheel keeps churning on
A creature whispers I love you and the heat keeps burning on

These things are starting to drive me crazy
Don’t you think it’s really too far gone
There’s so much wrong so many dirty lies
What can you do

You got to stop believin’

When the soldier fights for his Fatherland tell me who hears desperate cries
And for all the converts of the war it doesn’t matter if he dies
If he meets his end on the final day he will scream in agony
He’s just a part of a war machine he’s found his destiny

These things are starting to drive me crazy
Don’t you think it’s really too far gone
There’s so much wrong so many dirty lies
What can you do

You got to stop believin’"
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?
One day you'll be among the dead.
