I think it's no secret for most people here that you can get full albums on mp3s at metalrus.ru. In case you didn't know, this is where you access to the downloads:

Since there's a lot of bands/albums and all the info is in Russian, I thought it might be a good idea to share the discoveries we make on that site and share some opinions on them.
Right now I'm listening to Krüger's Pamjati Druga, which is the typical raw and primitive USSR Thrash/Death. Not a masterpiece or anything like that but a nice East/Euro extreme Metal album.
Here's the link: http://www.metalrus.ru/plug-e-files-c-k ... _1991.html

I've been also listening to Kremator's album which is pretty good Death Metal with that dark atmosphere that Eastern/Russian bands have, probably because of the recording techniques.

I also like Abstraktion, which is Motörheadian dirty Speed/Heavy Metal with those raw crazy vocals that give it the Russian touch.

Another one that is decent enough although it didn't make a big impression on me is Alexander Nevskiy. It's classic 80's Heavy Metal with some Doom touches here and there. I don't know where the fuck the Metal Archives reviewer came up with the Bon Jovi comparission but then I saw he gave Black Hole a 75% score and Eyehategod 100% so...
While this isn't really my coup of tea I think that many users here would enjoy it:

I was listening to Ayas yesterday. In some moments they're like the Black Hole of Thrash, mostly because of the weirdness factor though, they're not as good. Still worth checking out: http://www.metalrus.ru/plug-e-files-c-a ... _1988.html
