WIZARD (USA) - Wizard 1979

Post by lunaboy »

Just browsed via various websites as well as Blogspots and found one interesing record. So I decided to post some links for everyone ,because WIZARD sounds quite interesing for a year 1979.If you dig RUSH or early CIRITH UNGOL or even LEGEND you should enjoy this one as well. These were comparisons on Glory Daze Review ,but for my ears WIZARD sounds more like NWOBHM band.Obscure Heavy Rock Record from 1979.

Yes, great album, but i think it's from 1982, not sure. Have to take a look at the sleeve when i'm at home, i think it's written somewhere.
Where were you in '79 when the dam began to burst

Sounds very interesting, I'll give this a chance!

How many bands named WIZARD are there?

Funny this came up, been listening to this a lot lately. Some bad ass riffs in this one.

Cool post. Just yesterday I was just listening to my rip of this I made 10+ years ago on a road trip to Portland, classic EP.

Thanks for this. I love it! It almost sounds like a long-lost second Legend LP.

Bought this a few years ago, but wasn't that impressed. Must revisit.

Sold it for me.

It started out kinda lame, but as a whole this is one damn fine "crossover" album. "To Walk The Night" = anthem of the week! Added to the want list - and the annoying thing is I KNOW I've seen this one for sale hereabouts quite recently...

Anyone who have this LP in their possession intrested in making a re-rip? Great album, but this fuzzy sound really annoys me!
