Got some copies of this from 20 Buck Spin yesterday and gave it a quick listen last night.
First thoughts: In a similar vein to the demo and 7", but more confident and powerful. Fantastic solos that really hit the spot. I really appreciate the leaning towards rock rather heavy metal at certain times - a very charming and uncommon trait in this day and age. While I love the timbre of the singer's voice, the vocals do become a little monotonous after a while (I'm just dying for her to bust out a glass-shattering scream) but the fact that the LP is less that 30 minutes long is therefore an advantage.
Recommended to anyone who likes well played hard rock/heavy metal with soulful female vocals.

I liked the last album and it has had a lot of staying power, it might even have grown a bit on repeated listens. It's greatest feature is probably that it has an identity of it's own. Good luck with the recording.perishinflames wrote:alien laserblast wrote:Going into the recording studio next week for our 2nd LP.![]()
Can't wait, Agony and Opium may be my favorite album of recent years.
