My singles upload thread (updated Oct. 11 - Rock Angel)
While ripping the Vengeance single, I decided to digitize a few other items I haven't seen anywhere on the internet:
Cab (US) - Just Another Day / Given Dreams 7'' (1986)
This is quite good, doomy metal. A-side speeds up to a great solo in the end. B-side has more of an epic feel, with eerie keyboards (in a good way!). Sorry about the clicks a few minutes into each song, my copy has a pressing flaw on both sides producing this sound.

Crime Control (US) - Black Widow / The Curling Song 7'' (1989)
Trippy, weird artrock/hardrock/metal combo. For fans of AGONY BAG, JETHRO TULL etc. "Black Widow" is a blend of horns and flutes, with a blistering guitar solo and a generally upbeat atmosphere. "The Curling Song" is just that - a tribute to our favourite winter olympic event. I think it's brilliant (and quite hilarious). If you have an open mind, give it a listen, and let me know what you think! My copy is on clear vinyl, don't know if this applies to the rest as well.

Hazardous Waste (US) - Half Life / Danger Zone 7'' (1986)
Used to sell for outrageous sums of money until someone discovered an unopened box with 300 more copies, and decided to sell them cheap. Good call for the leather clad masses, as this is speedy US Metal at its best (especially the b-side), get it while the copies last! Singer is often (relatively speaking) compared to James Hetfield.

L.A. Rocks (US) - Cocaine / Reach Out 7'' (1979)
Early, slightly glammy, hard rock/metal which featured future members of W.A.S.P. and LONDON. "Cocaine" is definitely the track to cherish, featuring a wild guitar solo at the end. The flip side is too much of a 70's southern rock ballad for my tastes, although it might appeal to LYNYRD SKYNYRD fans.

Wow, CRIME CONTROL is really weird. 80s new wave i would say and i don't mean New Wave Of British Heavy Metal but rather like DURAN DURAN Wave.
I also have CAB, don't know what to think of it, very strange sound. Have it give it a few more spins before final judgement comes.
HAZARODUS WASTE is a real good, rock solid band, i like them.
L.A. ROCKS comes next, never heard from them...

Hehe, you might be right. I'm no expert on the New Wave type of music, but since I've seen this labelled as metal before (even on Thrashmageddon), I thought it might interest some open-minded metalhead.Sgt. If you get that "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable." just try again later. It happens to me all the time but always fixes itself after a while. Maybe too many download connections at Megaupload.

Nice uploads, thanks!
I have a copy of the Cab single I'm willing to trade if anyone needs it.
Hazardous Waste is good, solid metal.
I'll pass on crime control; 'weird' anthems to curling just ain't my thing. I used to live in curling country and the concept almost drove me mad
I'll check out the LA single; I saw the auction but didn't bid

Since I got a few requests for the singles I posted in the "recent metal finds"-thread, I thought I'd put them all here. Enjoy!
Zeus (US) - Nursery Rhyme Crimes 7'' (1982)
Fairly cool hard rock / metal with a hint of nwobhm. Great chorus on the first song, second has funky drumming but is quite scratched, so sorry for the poor quality on this one. Still worth it for the a-side though.

Organized Confusion (US) - Runnin' All Over 7'' (1982)
Good riffing, rough vocals, slightly punky maybe but who cares? The killer riff of the a-side gets me going every time. A song that instantaneously imprints itself in your mind and will have you humming its tune subconsciously for a week after. Or maybe it's just me.

White Ash (US) - Live With Rock 'N' Roll 7'' (1983)
A wonderful little gem, with a nwobhm-sounding prowler of an a-side, and a b-side that resembles "The Wizard's Vengeance" of LEGEND fame in writing style and epicness. Fun fact: When I first heard the first lines of the title track I thought of "Saturday Night's Alright" by Elton John. Will you do the same? Guess not.

Nightchild (US) - Remember the Faithful 7'' (1985)
This has been posted on the net before but the sound quality of the version circulating online is horrible, so here's a decent rip. Music-wise this has some AC/DC riffing with NAZARETH vocals, but it still packs a decent punch. And it's more metallic than both before-mentioned bands so you might want to give it a listen anyway.
