Vengeance (US) - Way Past Go / Driving Force 7'' (1983)
Requested by Sgt. Kuntz among others, here's the Californian heavy metal band Vengeance with their sole single, released in 1983.
A-side is a quite anthemic mid paced number with sort of a high school feel to it.
B-side is a wild double bass drum scorcher. Reminds me a bit of MANIMALS, at least vocally. Absolutely superb stuff, if you ask me!

Sorry, no cover scans. The scanner's at work, and I'm on vacation. I might get back to fix this in a few weeks though. Oh, and there's apparently a copy for sale on ebay at the moment, if you happen to like this one.

If you are bidder v***v( 1497), than your prediction is 100% true.nightsblood wrote:Thank you very much! If I like the files I will bid on the single and place 3rd behind Sgt and someone else, like always

Edit: I think the seller has more than one copy, he also sent a second chance offer. If anyone wants that single, maybe he should ask him.

Yes, the seller has multiple copies available. I do not think any of his copies have the lyric insert with them. He got $42 for a copy last week, $63 this week, so it's hovering around the $50 mark, which sounds reasonable to me.Sgt. good single, I like both songs, though one side is obviously not very metallic

You'll find that pretty much everything posted here quickly shows up on BoundedByMetal's blog.Khnud wrote:I'm a bit curious as to which bastard downloaded this single from this forum, and put it at the "Bounded By Metal" blog, just one day after I posted it here.
He/she could at least have had the decency to ask permission first. I'm sure I wouldn't have objected.
He does the same thing with every Metal forum and blog out there, including mine.
He d/l's other people's files, then re-ups to linkbucks or the like, meaning he actually gets paid for the work of the original ripper/uploader/musician!
To share music you're enthusiastic about is one thing, but to turn a profit by stealing the work of others and passing it off as your own is pretty low in my book.
I doubt he's ever ripped an album or demo himself, if you look hard enough everything he's ever posted has come from another blog/forum, usually a day or two later.
That's why the id tag on every mp3 from every album i upload to my blog is modified to insult this tosser, i like the idea that he then spreads these files saying "BoundedByMetal is a thief" or (usually) much worse.
It's irritating as hell, but unless he's registered here as "Bounded By Metal" i don't really see what can be done about it.
End of rant.
That's just my point of view, maybe every one else is fine with it, i don't know.
Probably most don't care.

Bounded by Metal was shut down at one point; I guess he's back up and running?
I doubt it's a regular Corroseum poster, just someone who signed on to d/l stuff. I guess things like this are why DaN has periodically purged the non-posting 'members' registered here.
I guess breaking out torches and pitchforks really won't help in this matter... man, I never get to start an unruly mob
