Croatian Metal

Post by Lord_Sauron »

There is topic for Yugo Metal, but it covers Croatian scene less completely than it should, so as there is Slovenian metal topic, I guess it's OK to open one for Croatia.

My all time top 10 would be:
1. Evil Blood - Their demo collection
2. Witchcraft - Eternal Sea
3. Legija - Legija
4. Osmi Putnik - Ulična Molitva
5. Sauron - Better Tommorow
6. III Kanal - III Kanal (1983, there is also earlier album with the same title)
7. Arisse - Nacht Traum
8. Dr. Steel - Čekam Na Noć
9. Lord Of Darkness - Tales From The Abyss
10. Crna Udovica - Sudbina

Honorable mention: Opća Opasnost - Opća Opasnost (demo), not sure if it counts as it is much more hard rock.

Just curious, had anyone ever listened to Enola Gay's demo (Croatian band)?
I read in one article that they had female vocalist at some time, but also the male one named Conan who is said to have pretty good voice.

I like any of them, really. It's too complicated to write which one is the best. The first I had heard was Midnight in Sodom from 1989, which one of my cousins had on tape, long before it had appeared on the net. Back then, I barely listened to metal (I was beginning to listen to it), so it wasn't much of an interst for me, I realized recently how rare it was.

About the compilations, there are Singles collection and The best of evil blood, which I hadn't seen in original release, but the second one in mp3 only and I'm waiting for more professional re-release.

As far as I know, there is no compilation from 1989, but only their demo.
