just 60% good, some bands are pretty sloppy. A confused mix of melodic punk, grindcore, death metal, classic HC and and ultracore. Seems they have taken some bands at random and threw all in. One band in particular, Gold Frankinsense & Disc Drive, i wonder why it ended up here. The untitled Stikky song is "On top Of The World". can't remember the title of the Fuck Geez song. However, 99% of these songs are taken from demos, Ep's and Lp's. I think none is unreleased.

I actually like what I've heard by GF&DD. Thanks!

Could be a synonym for fastcore or thrashcore.

There's so many -core subgenres now that's just stupid.

ultracore was a definition widely (ab)used in the late 80s to describe super fast HC bands such as Intense Degree, Heresy, Infest, G-Anx, Total Mosh Project etc... a kind of halfway between raiging HC and grindcore (without the excesses of this latter)

I just listened to this compilation and liked it a lot. It also made me want to check out more material of several bands, so thanks again for this. On a first listen I liked Jester Beast the better (of those bands I didn't know, Pungent Stench is still my favorite although this particular track while being good old school Death Metal, isn't specially remarkable)

Ah, just as I thought. More people need to hear TMP.
