Liege Lord (US) MLP 1985
by request:
Liege Lord (US) MLP 1985
1. Prodigy Wielding Iron Fists
2. Dark Tale
3. Amnesty
4. Vials Of Wrath
5. Legionaire
Rare test pressing only record(I think), not 100% sure if this is the same as the picture disc Iron Works released, since I'm missing that one.

Don't get that at all, the LP versions sound much more powerful in every aspect. The EP recordings have a more muffled production and space where it does not fit and sloppier playing(not that it's a big thing for me usually but in this case where I can compare different versions of the same songs it does factor it). The EP is like trying to hear the music while standing in a windy field while the LP is like galloping into action with the music blasting inside your head, time after time you are lifted ever higher into the starlit cosmos.
Yes I like 'Freedom's Rise'

Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?
One day you'll be among the dead.
One day you'll be among the dead.
Just listen to the intro of 'Wielding Iron Fists', the riff descends like first snow upon the battlefield, the notes ringing out through all existence, echoing into the universe. Each sound so perfect, the feeling of space coupled with unbridled intensity. Huh, the EP doesn't stand a chance.
I understand someone might like the different production which brings out the bass in a more Steve Harris-esque way, but other that that, what in the world is better about these version???

This is the kind of hype I'm talking about. I hear statements like this all the time and I just don't understand. To me Freedom's Rise has one decent song ("Rage of Angels") while the rest is completely forgetable, as limp as my wrist after two hours of masturbation.omen of hate wrote:I love their first album, it's in my US Metal top-ten since ages.
I'm happy for you guys, but to me early Liege Lord just doesn't cut it.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found!

I'm afraid I'll have to join the nay-chorus too.. I've been re-evaluating a lot of classic US Metal recently; stuff I used to slag as mediocre but have now rediscovered as bloody awesome, like VICIOUS RUMORS, CHASTAIN, JACK STARR etc.. Liege Lord still haven't clicked for me, sorry.
All the right moves, none of the songs..

DaN, You like Kuster and not Liege Lord? This metal forum is very much a strange place to be.
