STATUE(FIN) - 'Comes To Life' 1990

Post by daniel »

Basically Thrash with lots of melody and mid-range vocals. Ripped it today.

Have it on both tape and vinyl, found them cheap. Not too good stuff.

Well it was among 3 records I got in trade for an LP I paid 4.5e for haha. It gets tedious trying to listen to the whole record, but one song at a time can be ok.

Wot ? Well ok tastes are tastes, but IMHO this album is really good, I don't know if you like Stone, Airdash ... but they are easily on that level (ok probably you don't like those either ^^)

I was so unlucky back in time I never gave them a chance (I didn't even know what kind of music they play) :\
I bought a lot of other finnish bands for less (usually max 10$) just to try (Prestige, Dethrone, Antidote etc.) but since I've listened to the Statue album in mp3 (found some months ago in a blog) I regret the lost chance - it was sold mostly from 20 to 30$. Buying that cd is impossible now :|

The Stone comparison's swung me. Thanks!

I listened to this one at a friend's place a while ago and didn't find it that interesting. Of all Finn-Metal records of this style my vote goes to the WARMATH debut.

Has anyone heard STATUE's debut 12" EP? Better/worse? Same style?

You're welcome ;)

Warmath's album is very good (I prefer Statue anyway).
What a pity nothing exist on cd but only vinyls ... a reissue would be great !

That Warmath would be nice on MP3 somewhere. Always skipped it on record bins. :(
