RAGING STORM-'Sword of Doom' 7" 2004

Post by daniel »

I guess this isn't available anymore so it's ok to upload.

Their CD was good, but this single is better on the whole as the CD had a few weaker moments. Very much looking forward to their second album. This is simply some of the best contemporary metal, and this 7" is better than Wrathblade in my opinion. Pictures included in the file.

This is also my favorite R.Storm official recording. They also have some awesome unreleased material which is supposed to be released with their second album. They guys were talking about a reunion and a second full length, they managed to get back together but in my opinion the long awaited second release will remain wishful thinking, since they weren't really keen on spending time on recording or composing maybe.Chris is actually irreplaceable in such kind of bands,a huge motivation for the rest.I just wish they prove me wrong.

Wow. This really is some of the best Heavy Metal of the decade. No akward retroism, no "we play epic heavy metal because noone else does it anymore"-feeling. Just good songwriting and lots of real passion.

I could upload the full-length as well if that one is no longer available... Some great tracks on there too.

Wrathblade is slightly better imo, different but more or less similar style.Sound differs(production) but Chris(guitars-songwriting) is always there. You can say this band is the evolved form of raging storm, not the same band or exactly same style but comparable.Concerning excellent Greek releases, check out Dreamweaver's "destiny revealed" Mcd,one of the best releases that came out the last decade, and please,if anyone can make a rip of Blind Justice's rehearsal, share it with the rest here 'cause i know shit about PCs so i can't make that rip myself. One of my all time Greek faves....

I haven't heard anything besides a couple songs from Wrathblade and they sounded different imo. The vocalist turned me off a little bit IIRC.

Well they only have a 7" But the vocals ARE quite strange and really the only minus.

Oh :D I've got the impression that they have at least one album or some demos under their belts and never cared to check because the songs I heard didn't make that big impression on me.
