Headhunter DC (BRA) and Mortuary (MEX)

Post by The Sentinel »

Headhunter DC from Brasil and Mortuary from Mexico. Are these bands any good? If yes, which albums are recommendable? I only know them from name but never stumbled upon their music.

Not heard Headhunter DC but have wanted to check them out. Reviews I have read of their stuff has been quite positive.

I have one album by Mortuary. "Blackened Images" from 92 on Lp. Kind of a thrash death metal style with hints of Death/Master etc. Not bad stuff

I have 2 HEADHUNTER DC albums. It's a mix between typical South-american death metal and US Death metal (bands like INCANTATION, IMMOLATION). Not the most original band on earth, but it's well-executed.

You can check their myspace : http://www.myspace.com/headhunterdc

first Mortuary rules, primitive mexican Death Metal at its finest
early Headhunter Death Cult is of classic brazilian Death Metal while the later stuff is more "professional". prefer their early stage while most like the later stuff more.

Mortuary's Blackened Images is really underrated in my opinion. Bands like Slayer, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, and Master come to mind.

The Sentinel: I was trying to find some early Headhunter DC songs around, but they only have newer songs on their myspace. The only thing I could find was a more recent live video on youtube. I think the song sounds pretty cool, enough for me to look into their earlier material. Perhaps you would like it too.

Haha, CORVAR in Bulgarian means a dude which is extremely unfaithful to his wife (ready to fuck every woman in sight)
