Destiny's End Live Video Clip

Post by Cirith Falcon »

Here's a link to a pro-shot video clip of Destiny's End performing "Idle City/The Fortress Unvanquishable" off Breathe Deep the Dark live at the Back Room in Austin, Texas - May 6, 1999. It was the second night of the Rebirth of Metal Tour with Nevermore and Iced Earth. Enjoy, and please share with your metal brothers and sisters!

The unofficial fan Destiny's End site is located at: http://www.myspace.com/destinysendfansite. Apologies in advance for all the bad typos and grammar. It's a fan site, not official. None of the band members are directly involved.

Last time I heard BDTD I didn't quite like it as much as I remembered. Need to revisit both these albums one day.

weird! i was just listening to Transition a couple of days ago, the only thing i own from Destiny´s End, to be honest i always thought that the first half of that album was quiet enjoyable and well played, but the second part gets kind of "prog" n boring...

Great!!! "Breathe Deep The Dark" still is one of my favourite US power metal-albums of all time! "Transition" was okay too, but it wasn't as good as the debut.

Yes indeed! That's the one you need! If I find a copy over here I'll let you know.

Transition was deleted by Metal Blade several years ago and tons of copies flooded the market at $1, hence the availability.

BDTD is definitely the one harder to get.

Yup, the band got dropped about a year after I quit. If folks could only hear the original mix of Transition done by engineer/co-producer Joe Floyd (guitarist of Warrior)... In my opinion it was an awesome job. More music biz bullshit for you: Metal Blade jerked Joe Floyd around for like a year and a half on paying the studio bill. Not cool at all! Joe's a super cool guy, easy to work with, and above all down-to-earth. I was there every step of the way for Joe's mix of Transition. To add insult to injury, Metal Blade sent the multi-track tapes to Achim Köhler in Germany for a remix. I'd left the band a year before at that point, but nobody else from DE was present in Germany when the remix was undertaken. Thus the album the public hears pales by comparison to Joe Floyd's mix.

Well, since Metal Blade deleted this title already, I guess you should take an example from Anacrusis (which posted all their albums for free download on their website once Metal Blade deleted them) and consider an upload of the original mix on your blog? I for one would be interested checking it out.

It's definitely an idea worth exploring, Stormspell!
