Portland OR record shops?

im going to be in portland Or next week for my artopening and was wondering about second vinyl shops to check out. any help would be appreciated. im mainly looking for anything like hardrock/nwobhm/doom/tradtional/ etc...not death or black metal.

if you are looking for vinyl you will be very dissappointed. There might be some cds around for you but not many.
You can go to 2nd Avenue records(downtown), CROSSROADS MUSIC which has a bunch of small dealers under 1 roof, I never find anything there but there are a few bins of very common metal. there is a punk shop that has some few metal records: Discourage Records. The owners know to buy metal, but all their stock is on gemm too. There are a lot of tiny shops all over the place you might dig something up if you spend all day running around. I found a Airdash 7" for $1 after spending an entire day and a tank of gas looking around once. Definitely not worth the trouble on that day...

thanks for the heads up. FYI: im coming to Portland because my artwork will be in the Dennis Dread art show alongside viovods' away and other metal artists. the opening reception is on june 19 if interested.
