HANDS OF MERCY (BEL) - S/T EP 1988

Post by ION BRITTON »

One of the most important things in life is to have priorities. So, here's it is, the Hands Of Mercy EP for Dan (thanx again for Ambush & Keen Hue). Melodic HR/HM with a strong THIN LIZZY edge especially on the lead guitar. The opening ''Fallen Angel'' is a little bit commercial, but don't lose your courage so early 'cause the next two tunes are way better with ''Lonely In The Night'' bringing the EP to its climax. An excellent melodic metal song with a shattering solo in the middle and overall among my favorite ones from Belgium. Two thumbs and a dick up for the great front cover. Here we go:

I'm stuck watching the cat of a workmate over the holidays with not much else but a PS2 to keep me company so I finally got time to listen to some mp3s. While this really wasn't my cup of blood it was great to finally get to hear it. I liked the guitar harmonies at the end of "Fallen Angel", but as a whole this was a bit too mellow for my taste. Cheers anywho 8)
