Danish Metallers ANGER were formed in the town of Esbjerg in 1983. Very much the brainchild of guitarist Lars Elkjr, he was the only constant in the band from its inception until their eventual demise. They debuted in '83 with the "Louder Than Loud" cassette. This was followed up the following year with a demo called "Metal Attack", the demo being strong enough for the band to be approached by Paladyn Records and offered a deal. This resulted in the bands only full-length album, "Reach For The Sky" which hit the shelves in 1987, to universal indifference. Perhaps the failure of the album was due to the fact that there had been wholesale personnel changes (including the addition of a keyboard player), and the musical sidestep into more commercial waters. They were a far stronger musical proposition in the early stages of their career when the material was harder & more individual, despite their obvious influences.
