It's a great site and one of the most useful ones when I've been doing the label discogs. It could definitely need some dedicated "updaters" among the Olde Metal crowd though. Too bad I don't have the time myself.

How the hell do I register?

Although, born in Frankfurt myself, I'm unable to read German... embarrassing I know...

Nah man, if I was old enough to remember Germany at all, I would have probably stayed there to begin with.

Yeah, it's an awesome site! And about German language - I was barely passing it in high school but I have no problems with the site because of it, as you only have to know about several words ... like erstauflage :D

1. New users: how did you become aware of Musik Sammler? (Yay! Corroseum-plug!)

It would be great if some collectors from this forum log on and list their collections there, especially now when the metal genre entries will soon be beaten by rock (I think the current result is about 61.000 entries vs 59000 entries for metal) :)

At least the old speed/thrash/... CDs are doing a lot better now after Yetisued (I suppose you know him off the ebay?) listed his collection, but when it comes to the rare / private / unknown / .. vinyls from the 80s there still way too many unlisted ...

so join in :D

...AND don't forget to check and check again if the band/record isn't already listed. You always come across loads of double listings on these kind of sites. Adding ALL the info and adding it correctly also helps.

I signed up and never got the confirmation email.

When I attempt to log into the account I created, I get the message saying that I entered the wrong information...
