Insane. I have 2 demos with this band. They also had one track on a Metal Massacre comp. Great melodic metal/thrash.

Snöstorm: Later known as Snowstorm. Their first single was a bit more hard rock, but they later turned pop, as I presume tou know

Really? Was the Metal Massacre track under a different name?

MM

Hmmm... just checked all the MM comps and it wasn't there. I know one song was on an American comp., thought it was MM. The track was "In A Band". I'll check and get back.

I haven't heard Snöstorm, but I can tell you a little about Insane.

I believe that Insane was from the town Oskarshamn though I'm not sure about that. Oskarshamn lies in the southern part of Sweden. The first recording I have from them is the Games of the World demotape from 1983, including 7 tracks. This is really one of Sweden's finest demos ever. A masterpiece, really.
The other demo, I only know two, is a 4-track demo from 1984 which also is great, but not exactly as good as the first one.

NOIZE TOYS play HR/glam. If you're listening to stuff like that, check them out.

Insanme demos

Post by Stark »

I have now (finally) got my shit together and checned the CDR I did with the Insane demos. I have two, one 7-track from 1982 (not 1983) and one 4-track from 1984. It was also said that the track "Be At The Top" was supposed to be on "Metal Massacre vol 6", but I guess it never was.
Great stuff!

Well, that's at least what it says on my tape, and I got it way back around then.

Attack was not really metal band at all, more Kiss-type poppy hard rock. Even though the drummer Dr Åke Eriksson was also in Bedlam, bass-player PJ was ex Trash/Tempelrock and guitarist Björn was previously in Solid Ground. The singer Rosa is the sister of opera/pop/musical singer Tommy Körberg.

If you're referring to the SNÖSTORM that used to be called SNOWSTORM at first, all they made worth having is the first single entitled "Fuzzy". When they were called SNÖSTORM they were pop in the vein of MAGNUM BONUM.
HELS - As far as I know they only made the single and the comps. Have no demos with the band either. The same actually goes for SERGEANT and WULCAN.
