Hello!
I found old but very interesting topic about Roadrunner Slimline series. I've been searching for those CD's for years, so let me add a few points to the subject.
First of all the list of all slimline CD's mentioned above is not full. It consists of 21 CD's
which I state below
twisted sister - under the blade
lee aaron - s/t
lee aaron- metal queen
slayer - show no mercy
slayer - hell awaits
mercyful fate - dont break the oath
merycul fate - melissa
anvil - hard'n'heavy
anvil - metal on metal
anvil - forged in fire
tokyo blade - night of the blade
tokyo blade - s/t
jaguar - this time
mad max - rollin' thunder
au pairs - playing with a different sex
metallica - kill 'em all
manoway - hail to england
venom - At war with Satan
raven - all for one
Au Pairs - Sense and Sensuality
M80 - Maniac's Revenge
The last two Cd's are indeed Roadrunner Slimlines, but they are not mentioned in the catalogue, that's why few people know about them.
It took me years to collect sixteen of them in. The only ones I miss are:
Jaguar
Metallica
Manowar
Twisted Sister
M80
Jaguar, Metallica, Manowar and M80 were supposed to be pressed in Germany. The rest was pressed In Japan. It is not 100% confirmed, but all CDs pressed in Germany was in so bad quality, that Roadrunner decided to withdraw all the copies before putting them the market and destroy them. Other rumour says, that due to legal problems only test pressings of German CD's were made. Twisted Sister is also very rare, because almost all Roadrunner release was put into ordinary jewel case.
And one more thing. Wham - Make it Big is not by any means a part of Roadrunner Slimline series. It is true that it had been released in slimline case, but not by Roadrunner. It was released by CBS/SONY in 1984. There are some other CD's put in white slimline case like Mick Jagger's - She's The Boss and some other Japanese performers.
Here you can see my part of slimline collection:

Well, I have never seen Roadrunner Slimline Kill'em All for sale, but a friend of mine told that it had been auctioned for over 1000 USD. I have seen Manowar once for 1250 USD starting price (no bids) and Jaguar - This Time (sold for 838.00 USD). Anyway, these are really very expensive CD's and very few people can afford buing them.

Find ebay seller id konakuna. He was selling Manowar Roadrunner CD in 2007 on ebay. The opening price was 1250 USD, but there were no bids. I don't know if he sold it outside the auction. I wrote him after the auction but did not receive any reply. Maybe yo'll be more lucky. In any way, if you get any answer please let me know.AlexB wrote:Does anybody has the Manowar Roadrunner to sell? Let me please know. Thank you
