NIGRO MANTIA - Poetry Of Subculture demo 84
A classic in Scandinavian Metallicus Obscura, requested by DoomOfDenim:

M Fate meets Hell or sumthin'? A fantastic piece of Dark Steel in any case. Gotta put it on right now..
Edit: Just realized how much they remind me of MIGHTY SPHINCTER at their best moments!

Yeah, you got to get your hands on the "Ghost walking" mini-LP.. The B-side is the US answer for a bit more twisted BLACK HOLE !!

They were featured on the very rare yet very mediocre "Metal Outlet" (Büms Rec.) compilation from '87 and judging by those 2 tracks they belonged in the Danish C-division. No further investigation needed.Fucking Åmål wrote:Thanx i wanted to hear this too.But anyone has METAL CROSS also from Denmark.Have you heard this band? This looks so promising.Huh?

Got it on mp3 now and I must agree. Best "non-Metal Doom" after BLOODSTAR and WARNING (GER) I'd say. Found "The New Manson Family" yet?DoomofDenim wrote:Yeah, you got to get your hands on the "Ghost walking" mini-LP.. The B-side is the US answer for a bit more twisted BLACK HOLE !!

Maybe we should do a non-Metal upload thread in Land Of Mystery? Been thinking about that for a while..Cochino wrote:Any chance of an upload soon? There'll be no MIGHTY SPHINCTER uploads though since the official CD is available dirt cheap here.

No, not yet. My local guldgruva is looking for it, and will sell it directly to my when they find it. Do you got the adress to that MS information site ??DaN wrote:Got it on mp3 now and I must agree. The link should be in the Who Are You-thread.DoomofDenim wrote:No, not yet. My local guldgruva is looking for it, and will sell it directly to my when they find it. The music on this demo is killer! Just the way I like doom, very heavy and with some speed here and there. But the vocals were a bit of a turn off. I mean, the arabic things the vocalist does reminded me too much to that guy from System Of A Down (do I get banned for naming that band in this forum?)

I had this demo and i must i admit that when i first heard it didn't click with me. Seeing this upload, i decided to give it one more chance. The final verdict is: IT RULES A FUCKIN' LOT! "Monolith of Infinity" is a dark doom metal BEHEMOTH!
