WITCHES HAMMER (Can)
I discovered this band through NWN who re-released their stuff. This must be one of the wildest and best thrash bands to ever walk this earth. The brutal intensity is the same as for instance Morbid Saint but Witch Hammer is more technical, especially on their EP and their unreleased LP (both featured on NWN's Stretching Into Infinity). Listen to the "Mortales" EP and hear some apocalyptic insane thrash of the highest order, really, what a insanely great band. More people dig this stuff (who doesn't)?

Well, I knew this band before NWN! released their stuff. I had the EP before already. I read about them from old Blasphemy interview in Slayer Mag and it got me interested because Marco from Blasphemy played with them. I got the EP from Dave Spicer who released this EP in 1987 and still had some copies left! Mint sealed condition! I remeber also German dealer Marcus Schnackenberg had this EP in his list in 1998/99 but I was too late (you know snail mail times).

that Dave Spicer guy digged out around 20 copies from his cellar in 2003/2004 timeframe and sold them all on ebay one after another. Funnily I got the LP quiet cheaper two years later from somewhere else but without the cover-insert. So I asked Marco by email and he had one cover left which he did sent me. Great guy for sure.deathster wrote:Well, I knew this band before NWN! released their stuff. I had the EP before already.
