At times I really enjoy this unholy blasphemy of filth, especially the debut. I remember when I first heard it in the beginning of the 90's. I thought someone recorded a vacuum cleaner, but after a while I discovered the "beauty" of it. This is pure menacing audible violence. What do you think?
I used to listen to underground black metal once upon a time...BLASPHEMY,BEHERIT,VON,ORDER FROM CHAOS...''Oath of the black blood''is a masterpiece of blasphemous and hellish piece of dark art!

Agree! I also liked the Diabolos demos / rehearsals back then. You guys probably don't like what followed DDtM. It wasn't so bad though.
Perhaps not ahead of their time or something like that, but Beherit is a fundamental stone in the Black metal field. I like all their Blak stuff, but that synth shit do really gets on my nerves.

I liked Electric Doom Synthesis a lot. This album has quite some dark and meditating atmospheres.
That's why I prefer Drawing Down the Moon to The Oath of Black Blood too, the first one being more atmospheric/trance-inducing. That's kind of ritual music, and that's not a bad point IMO.
Godly stuff! One of my fave bands ever!
Of the really barbaric, evil, hellish BM this band is one of the best. (of course along with BLASPHEMY, SARCOFAGO, ORDER FROM CHAOS etc...)
I really like the electro albums as well...
Beherit are one of my faves since I ever first heard about them and saw pictures in spring/summer 1992. My faves would be "Dawn of satans Millenium" PicEP, Lord Diabolus "Down there..." demo and "Drawing Down the Moon" album. GODLY stuff.
I am in contact with their ex-drummer Sodomatic Slaughter and also met Mr. Holocausto 7th Vengeance here in Tallinn last year. Totally cool and relax dudes both!
They told me that their ultimate inspiration was Blasphemy "Blood upon the Altar" demo!!!
