STORMWAVE - Heroes of the night / HAPPL - Signed

I know,i know you will say who the fuck cares about a Vaggelis crazy passion about another Austrian piece of steel. But for hell's sake don't miss that.A very strange band(Nenad you probably like them,it's your only chance).

Listen this is Heavy Metal!!!With the true meaning of the word. This band is so strange with the eerie use of keyboards and the harsh guitars and the cultish vocals. If you will like this band like 1/10 i do you will be satisfied.Listen to a forgotten diamond that's been unrefered to the 80's fans(maybe that's better for many reasons go listen to countless crap US bands better).
For me it is 1 of the three best records Austria has offered along with Maniac-Look Out,Stormwave-Heroes Of The Night.

There are also rumors about an LP prior to that in 1989 but it is ''released'' in one or two copies without their permission(i would kill to hear that) of their producer.HAPPL also competed with a track in an Austrian compilation(i don't remember right now) from late 80's.

HAPPL name is takes by the mainman/vocalist/guitarist Gottfried Happl.

I wish i could upload the backcover of their LP but unfortunately i have a problem with the Scannner.

The bassist Robert Gösi is the best for me together with Brent Sullivan of Slauter Xstroyes.

The ending of the album is the best ending i have heard in my life.A baby girl says ''This is the end?I like Heavy Mettl'' with the characteristic Austrian pronunciation.

Requested three times by Nicholas(omen of hate)(sorry mate i hope this upload satisfy you)

Enjoy!!!!Austrian metal is the best!!!! 8)

Well alright I'll give this a chance though I know nothing about it, since you're excited. If it means a lot for you, then it's probably good even though it might not be to my taste. Impressions to follow.

Goes to show. One's steel is another man's rubber band. Nothing distinictive compositionally on the first listen. Went in the one ear, out of the other :(

Well, i suppose the term "Heavy Metal" can have a very different meaning for each one. "Signed" is a nice record, but it's not even close to the ''true meaning of the word'' metal as far as i'm concerned. Not crap, however it needs to cover many miles to call it a forgotten diamond.

I've heard of this for years because of the cult cover but now I can finally hear if it is any good, comments coming soon.

If I remember correctly what Roman has written about it, this should be the rarest Austrian Metal / HR release. Cover looks killer. I have put it in a queue, so I guess I will download it soon. Thank you very much, Vaggeli :D

Wow.. Finally gave this one a listen. Dunno why but for some reason I was expecting something way more slick'n'glossy (blame the cover art)

I liked this a lot. Crappy musicians they may be, and the vocals are more than a little OTT but the energy sure it there. Quite a "Sloppy-Metal" gem for sure. Not on par with U8 or the GALLOW'S POLE debut of course, but still..

So who wanna me my Bestest Friend and send me LP for free? Anyone??

Glad you liked it although i am not sure if you like them seriously or you think they fitted better in the worst metal thread.
Anyway this band doesn't remind neither another Austrian nor anyone else i have heard.
Crappy musicians?!? The bassist is the best and the most technical i have heard even better than Brent Sullivan of Slauter Xstroyes.
Because this band plays ORIGINAL music that doesn't remind any dog on this earth that doesn't mean they are aliens or some weirdo metal.

What about SPEED LIMIT debut Dan are you gonna take some iniatiative?

Someone uploaded their 2nd album but I think I've lost the files. That debut is the one I REALLY would wanna check out.

And no, I don't consider HAPPL a "so bad they're good"-act, just very primitive w/ plenty of charm.

About Speed Limit i am dying to hear that album believe me.(I have asked a Corroseum member about it but let's see when and how this will be uploaded).

Fortunately yezzz!Happl aren't included in the love-crap list of Mr.'s EdmaN'S.
Yes i think very strange the fact that this album is from 1991 and sounds so strange.

DaN do you want to upload the backcover of Happl's-Signed?
