OK, so I'm gonna cave in and start adding my collection there. Making a list of it all is long overdue and I figured I'd go for musik-sammler.de since it's German and by default ze Trüest.
1st question of many:
How ze Hölle do I add albums/pressings not in ze data-base?

Cheers. Of course I managed to screw it all upp right from the stard and added "another" SAVAGE GRACE when all I wanted to do was add the Important Rec pressing of MoD. I'm such a fucking n00b..

Haha no prob. I already asked a mod to merge the new band entry with the old one and the important pressing hasnt been deleted
there is some point when MS.de asks if the band is already in the list and if yes check the box on the left of the band name so this wont happen
otherwise the submission was A-OK

Well, I've finally finished adding everything that I currently have at my place to the collection. I have roughly another 300 CD's sitting at my mothers place from when I originally moved to where I am now that never came with me, so I'll have to eventually bring those over and add them as well. Aside from that there are still many unanswered corrections on the forum that have gone unchanged for quite some time now. It seems that ever since prankowski666 has stopped logging on it takes forever for entries to get updated...

pranko is busy with work etc. Yes corrections take longer than before but we also got a couple dozen new members who all want to get stuff corrected. in the end everything will be good, you just have to be more patient than usually
DaN you got lots of welcomes. Were all eagerly awaiting your great shit

Btw, I've added more than a 3rd of the Metal vinyl collection so far:
http://www.musik-sammler.de/sammlung/dan
In a month or so the vinyl-part should be finished, then it's off to the CDs which are spread all over the place in various boxes & shelves. I guess they needed sorting anyway..
After that I'm thinking if I should add all the non-metal stuff on the same account or make a separate collection for it? Is there a way to sort the collection based on genre, or even sub-genre?

Well I put everything on one list. Makes it bigger haha
No I think it's best to put all in one list to show what you're into all at once. I love e.g. the Bob Marley & The Wailers "Rastaman Vibration" LP as much as the Omen debut, just in a different way, so why shouldnt it be in the same list
I think mixed collections are always the most interesting after all
I'm not sure if you can organize the list under genres, but you can give numbers to the records and sort them after them
