I gotta say the older I am the more I love the Martin-era of Sabbath. Some exceptional metal tunes on those discs. The title track is a crusher!

Listen for the feet as they pound the land to a tune of thunder!
Very underrated stuff! I also adore the Martin-era (just as all the other Sabbath-eras).

The issue with many hardcore Sabbath fans is that they are Ozzy-era fans only. Which - to me - is a really fucked up way to look at this seminal band. For example "Born Again" is an AMAZING heavy-as-hell crusher. Yet those people disown it because Ozzy did not sing on it. Crazy stuff.

I agree with you, "Born again" is fantastic !! There are some of the heaviest riffs Iommi wrote on it and Gillan's vocals are just insane !!! Too bad, this album is so much underrated.
I'm not too familiar with the Martin era.

I'm not much into Born Again but enjoy the Tony Martin era especially Headless Cross.

Judas Priest - Painkiller

I just read a thread about the Priest remasters on the Steve Hoffman audiophile boards. Are those remasters really that bad when compared to the original pressings? People there described them like the worst sounding CD's ever and I am just not hearing it. Sure they are compressed and boosted up but are the originals really that good?

Kuster live in Wagnelée 1980. Vocals aren't as gormless as on the records.
