What is the difference between Deathrow "Satan`s Gift" and "Riders of Doom" LP? Same recording, only album cover is different? Whats the reason for this?

The recording is exactly the same. Why they changed the title and cover I don't know. Maybe they wanted to steer away from the Black Metal-thing?

Does anyone know if Hoffmann brothers had another band before Glen Benton joined and they started as Amon/Deicide? Was their band called Aggressor or Aggression in Florida?

Riders of Doom was meant for European, and Satan's Gift for US market.

I thought the Satan's Gift version was the uncensored one, and Riders Of Doom the censored LP.

Anyone know if there's any relation between MESSIAH of "Final Warning"-fame and the Thrash band featured on the "Eastern Front - Live at Ruthie's Inn" and "US Speedcore Invasion" compilations?

DaN,
None at all.
The track on the Eastern Front comp is their only vinyl appearance and I think they have a couple of demos, but I have not been able to get copies. I used to see the mainman of the band all the time at record swaps and shows, a complete mainiac. I believe he was in Noothgrush(sludge/grind/doom stuff) and other non-metal bands.

I just had a look at Metal Archives and noticed they are not listed there.

Cheers. The only reason I thought there might have been a connection was because of the Xian-sounding "The Tempter" songtitle.

just read a Tankard interview. Their debut LP was supposed to have the famous Satan's Gift LP-cover. But they rejected it and got a new one from Karl Walterbach, while Deathrow had to take it instead.

Maybe that's because no one cares about Kotipelto('s other bands) and would rather have Tolkki on vocals and the music like it was in the 80s. 8)
