They did consider themselves a hard rock band, while he said the B-side was "a little bluesy".

Thanks for these. I'm always curious about these one-offs. The Misery single is incredibly tame. Team Custard are much funnier. Boy, they're daft.

As mentioned in the "Poppy/Wavy Metal" thread, this is SLAM's great, eerie "Tragedies" 7" from 1985. Fans of THE PLADS, MIGHTY SPHINCTER, JESTERS OF DESTINY, THE BLOOD, Dark/Horror Metal etc could do much worse:

SLAM went from slightly offbeat HC/crossover on the first LP and subsequent EP, via this metallized offering and then back to original crossover on their last LP in '87. So why bother with this obviously 'un-true' release then? Well, if you hadn't known the musical history of the band you'd take "Tragedies!" for an original yet fairly solid Horror Metal release, perhaps with some mild influences from VOIVOD and early 80's goth. Sounds weird? No, it's really not that bad or off-topic, and certainly no HC-influences to be heard. I like it. So shoot me.

An upload dedicated to the criminally insane Dirty Rocker
Hope they've not giving you the chair, man!

ACIS - Lawbreaker/A Wanted Man 7" '87

(Grrreat, anthemic Hardrock-Metal for those who don't know it...)

Haha, thanks Edmanuz! I'm getting the sentence within a week. I'll let you know mate. I have never heard this Acis single, maybe when I was over by your house in Sumpan maybe? I will give it a listen and tell you what I think about it. I love the cover art anyway. ; )

Here's FINALLY a FWOSHM 7" obscurity that has eluded me for years & years:

GYPSY - III World War/Explosive Hangover 7" '82

It's definitely heavier than the likes of JEREMIAH, TYFUZ, HIGHBROW etc, but perhaps not as all-out Metal as RISING, 220 V or LEZLIE PAICE. Really cool, raw guitars though. Well worth checking out for fans of the primitive/d.i.y. side of things.

(actually, by checking this one from the list and REFLEX a few weeks earlier, I now only know of one (1) Swedish Metal vinyl w/ possible HEAVY content that I yet haven't heard. Soon, maybe soon...)
