I consider pirated distribution theft. Unless I can sell every CD I had pressed, I can't afford to make another CD. I would like to think downloaders are just kids who sit around watching youtube all day, and who wouldn't buy it in the first place. I think the true Heavy Metal fans want the actual physical product. I really appreciate all of you guys who have supported this release by buying it. Thanks.
I loved the initial demo songs, but now that I have a couple dozen spins of the full-length, the demos (or more specifically the vocal lines) sound inferior. I think a few of the vocal lines here and there still come off a bit awkwardly, but it's not a big deal. This is honestly one of the better doom metal albums of the past decade, and I'm pretty well aware of what's out there. A Meeting in the Woods is just too good. Speaking of that song, are the lyrics about any specific story? I can't pinpoint one.
Dodens Grav: Thanks. "A Meeting In The Woods" is basically me looking back at Nathaniel Hawthorne's"Young Goodman Brown" with H.P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith-tinted vision.
I ordered this and I hope it arrives soon. Been a long-time love of Cauldron Born and loved the demo songs. From what I'm hearing it's a great release so I hope it lives up to the hype.
