Seriously though, I might have bid on this copy but my internet connection was down most of the weekend, and I've had enough problems with ebay in the last few days (mentioned above) that I don't care to bid on anything at the moment, even if it looks like a decent buy.I think most folks realized the thousand dollar copies (sold a few years ago) went for too much, so I'm not surprised copies had come down to the $700-750 range. < $500 for this copy looks like a good buy, but hell, maybe it's not trendy enough anymore and collectors have moved on to a new 'flavor of the month'
Some may attribute the price drop to the economic collapse but I don't think that alone explains it. We're still seeing other metal records bring $800++. Just a few from 2010 auctions: Big Daisy, Tyrant, Ricochet, Paradoxx, Paragon (twice), Liquid Earth, Mayhem (three times), Stormchild (twice, late 2009), and those are just off the top of my head. So big money is still being spent on metal vinyl this year
