Best "reunion" 2010?

Post by Tomasteel »

Should it be Agent Steel with Cryiis? the new Accept with Tornillo? or the new addition of Crimson Glory Todd La Torre?

What do you guys expect from this? For me... a newcomer in heavy metal is the perfect opportunity to watch some legends live, personally I loved the tracks of Crimson Glory with La Torre and liked pretty much 'Teutonic Terror'.

Let's wait for Cryiis!

I hope I can assist to next KIT :)

Best regards friends.

I'm very much against "reunions" in which the bands return with new singers. Especially ACCEPT without Udo, or THIN LIZZY without Phil Lynott, seriously... Those bands should change the names.

So given the above, the reunions for me so far are:

AGENT STEEL (with Cyriis getting back)
SANCTUARY
ANTHRAX (with Belladonna returning to the fold yet again  )

I totally agree with Thin Lizzy.

I'm a little skeptic about Sanctuary's reunion but I really hope they can shut my mouth up.

Anyway, let's wait to hear the new stuff of all the bands.

For one reason or another I never saw em back in the day, so I'm looking to amend that, for nostalgic purposes mostly. Wouldn't mind seeing a special "Spreading the Disease" show.

Another two reunions I forgot are HELLHOUND and LAST DESCENDANTS. As well as AMULANCE which are slotted to play HOA this year.

IMO 9 out of 10 reunions are total wastes of time that do nothing but drag a band's name through the mud. Every now and then a band pulls it off, but overall reunions do nothing for me. Past is past; you can't recapture it

I like reunions only to see a certain band live and not to hear their new album as it in most cases suck. The only one I'm looking forward to is the new Forbidden.

As for the '10 reunions, I'm mostly excited about Sanctuary and Agent Steel - never have I believed that Cyriis could return ;) But only to see those bands live, not to hear some new albums - they've both outdid themselves 20, 25 years ago. I know that I can never expect Warrel Dane to sound like he did back then, but Sanctuary is far more than the vocals, their music had and has a huge impact on my life and it'll be certainly special to see and hear all this played by the creators. As for the new album, I kinda like most of Nevermore's works, but I certainly don't expect anything here. Warrel Dane - what doesn't kill you makes you a cripple.

Anthrax were one of the bands of my youth but it does not disguise the fact that $cott Ian and Charlie seems like a pair of prize cunts.

I guess they have been offered lots of $$$ to play together agaain

I've always been an Anthrax-fan, but after they did the first reunion-tour with Belladonna (2004 I think) I've lost all respect for them. The performances on that tour were lame, and the soap opera that followed the next couple of years (and is still going on to this very day) were just toooooo much! It's become impossible to take this band serious.

that sums it all for me

i dont expect anything neither from Sanctuary or Crimson Glory (now, thats balls to keep using same name without Midnight,assholes...)

surprisingly, the smaller most underground are sometimes the bands that sound best when they come back...thats why im more interested in seeing something like Amulance or Militia (which i did and they fulfilled my expectations) than bigger bands froms back in the day (see the ones mentioned above)...

Well, Crimson Glory have been using the name and releasing albums without Midnight since 1999 so its a bit too late to be shocked now. Not that I defend them or anything. Just saying.
