deathster wrote:I wont copy the whole Death SS albums story few posts before. Anyway, nice information shared by Nonseinormale65. Checked my "The story of Death SS" LP: grey label, all songs wriiten and composed by Death SS (hints for the first press) but not the name Yako de Bonis on the thankslist youy wrote about.
Italian albums have some CIAE stamp marked onto them. Do bootlegs have also this stamp?
It is SIAE(and not CIAE  ),it is the italian state organization that is responsible for protecting the copyright and the royalties;note that until 1993 in Italy recording and selling live bootlegs that were less than 20 years old was legal(while making bootleg of studio material was not) by paying the SIAE,then the law was changed;some bootlegs have a SIAE sticker and some others have a SIAE stamp,in that years Italy was one of the leaders in making live bootlegs,i remember some historical labels, for example Taurus Records(nothing else that Minotauro records  ), the Great Dane Records and also Metal Crash etc. etc.

P.S. About Yako de Bonis and the thanklist i based on my memory,i remember the quarrel they had at that time, but maybe i am confusing, perhapsinstead of Yako in the thanklist was his band Steel Crown.

It's a typical identical greek bootleg with just the album title for a matrix if memory serves me right. It's been out since at least the mid 2000's.

Yes, it's the band name Steel Crown that was removed. My first pressing of the LP has an insert and a black inner sleeve. My second pressing does not.
I remember a friend bought the CD new in the mid-90s and the booklet was different than my old copy.
Does anyone have a copy of the tape they'd like to sell?

God Macabre - The Winterlong
quoting after metal archives ATTENTION: The CD-reiusse 2007 by "Strike Force Records" is one of many cheap CD-R bootlegs made by the infamous bootlegger "vegascds" to cash in expensive /sought after CD rarities!

I would change that to "ATTENTION: every CD-reissue by "Strike Force Records" is a cheap CD-R bootleg done by Vegas.shole"

Anyone knows if the CDs he puts out are legit?
I actually wrote an email to this guy asking for EAN/Cat no. and cd matrix. He replied with everything I needed. But I am kinda getting the feeling that he is somehow faking a Germany-English "accent" in his reply. Could be as well a boots seller pretended to be German and sell his crap on ebay ger. Here's the letter:

Hi, to Australia! Here the answers:
1. CD manufactured in Germany, NRR 1003
CD-matrix (inner ring) "CDT-Berlin NRR 1003"
This is the guarantee, that it is a original-CD
from Label "No Remorse Records"
2. No bootleg, no EAN-Code, 1989 manufactured
3. No promo, original-CD!!
4. Condition very good (booklet and CD)
No scratcher on the CD!!
5, Postage to Australia, 7,00 Euro
The CD is from a fried, who worked in 1989 for German label NRR. I got from him several CDS.
Hope the answers are o.k. for you - good luck!!
Best regards

ps: Did you no how much did those 10 copies he sold end up with in the auction?

I just got a copy of Atrophy - violent by nature 1990 US print out of ebay auction. This copy is highly suspicious like those high quality boots circulating theses days.

The cd is EXTREMELY new. Feels like it has just been distributed from the label to a record store. It's nothing like a 20 year old product (it is not sealed).

Again, the printing on both the inserts and disc is blur (not crisp), as can be seen from the pictures below. The smell of the booklet is a bit unpleasant, not like those 80's cds with a nice at least not bad smell of ink.

The EAN, Cat no, and cd matrix match the one on auction by reseller thallos81.

Does anyone know if this is the new generation of boots with identical matrix number like target or it's actually a legit?

If you see Flames Of Hell "fire and steel" lp on ebay, don't bid high on it, it's of course a recent bootleg re-release! you can order it for regular prices at some places like Me saco un ojo and maybe some others.

I know and it's weird actually, because all grinder CDs he put out ended up with preetty much the same price of about 55€ +/- 2€ What are the odds?! The spread should be much bigger normally.

I think he shill-bids from various accounts on these CDs himself.

Here's what emperor.zola once wrote to me aboud Dead End CD, I suppose that Dawn comes with the same caratheristics ...

version 1;
the matrix seems to be legit CDT-BERLIN NRR 1007 01
the grinder logo, the NRR logo, the text is printed in black, and there are 3 different kind of shiny rings visible on the disc itself.
the booklet consist of 2 sheets clipped together, and on the last page, next to concert booking there is a black thick column.
this version has a small waterdamage on the top corner (5 mm) of the booklet.
my vote is 100% original

version 2;
the matrix is the same, but it's tiny, half of the size compare to the one above... all my old cds has the "bigger style" etching as far as I can tell
the grinder logo, the NRR logo, the text is printed in ...well, light brown?? and there are only 2 different kind of shiny rings visible on the disc itself.
the booklet consist of 3 sheets clipped together, in the middle there is a band photo, and on the last page, next to concert booking the black thick column is missing.
moreover the paper of the booklet is much thinner than the other one, much like a very (!!!) good quality color copy (factory pressed, but not that photo-paper like cover)
my vote is 99% bootleg
