He couldn't sing them properly even 20 years ago ;)

But Sanctuary would be perfect for KIT headliner anyway :)
Well, I remember seeing Nevermore performing Sanctuary-stuff live in 1998, and Warrel sang "Battle Angels" and "Future Tense" in the most perfect way you could imagine! But that doesn't mean that he still can do it nowadays...but let's hope so!
Hm, my gf saw them a few years later, and she assures me Warrell Dane sang "very well considering what he looked like". Not quite sure how to take that.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

I don't know, I never really cared for NEVERMORE much. What I know is, I CAN sing-along all SANCTUARY songs, and that's what really counts for me. I'm not going to be really picky if Warrel can take the high tones or not. I'll just be there and scream my lungs off to nirvana.

P.S. I got my tickets today by the way, thanks Oli! I need to start looking for hotel now. Any recommendations anyone?

I said that because they were playing some SANCTUARY tracks at their shows and they didn't sound very good to my ears.

That's your choice and I respect it. Personally, I don't want to hear the songs being ruined by a guy who can't sing 20% the way he used to.

The vocals were too much in Sanctuary, so if he can't sing like that anymore it's only positive. :)

I guess Sanctuary is typically a band that could headline Keep it true. It's OK if they do, but in my opinion they should never be above Ostrogoth and Satan on a bill.

Hi Friends,

With great pleasure we are able to announce the first headliner for KEEP IT TRUE 14. CRIMSON GLORY will pley their very first German show with their amazing new Singer Todd La Torre at KIT. For us this is a dream come true. Unfortunately we could never book the band with original singer MIDNIGHT, but we made our tribute to him on KIT 13. When we heard the new singer Todd La Torre for the first time it was clear, that the spirit of MIDNIGHT continues to live through Todds voice and therefore we want to dedicate this show to the memory of MIDNIGHT. Please have a listen to the following youtube clips with Todd:

With a bit of luck we will also be able to announce our second headliner very soon, so stay tuned!!

Fuck, I still can't believe Griffin will be performing.

I'm quite excited.

What's the lineup?

If they cancel at the last minute though, I might have to pull a theclansman74 and bitch about wanting my money back.

Anyways, my tickets have also been ordered.

I now need some serious recommendations on hotels though.

I heard yesterday the Crimson Glory tracks with the new singer, the guy's simply incredible, haven't heard anyone sounding so close to Midnight.

Dear German users,

Please suggest me some hotels most preferably within walking distance of where the festival is being held because I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to figure out the train system since I don't speak German.

Regards,

Avenger

^^ Unfortunately it seems all hotels within walking distance are already booked by regular KIT-goers... Renting a car seems the only logical option. Luckily for me one of the buddies I'm going with does not drink, so he will be the chauffeur
