Why can't everyone has a sniper account? Then there won't be a crappy bidding war like this ever occur on ebay. Take a look at these jumps. Can't believe it! There were still 19 hours left and 2 guys started incredible bids that pushed up the price to such high degree. Before I set my sniper, I contacted the seller, he promised to provide me with free registered shipping to Austrlia for 6 cds if my totally biding exceeds $120. But look at this mess. I bet he never thought he could get this sale before auction.

I hope one day, ebay can provide instant messaging service like msn, and if this ever happens, I will send them a warning message after they put up their bids: Get a [buy it now] brain first then start bidding YOU BLOODY IDIOTS!!!

Yeah, come to think of it, it makes sense in a way. g***a, p***a were keeping pushing up the price until they found a buyer. Just wondering, are there anyways to see other bidder's biding history on each items while participating in an auction? What do you recon the acceptable price for these two?

No you can't see the history... unless you are the seller ^^
Until end of 2003 it was possible, I don't know when they changed this... and why in spite of all (privacy ? please... !)

It is really making egay a even gayer market to rip ppl off. I think it enables global shill biding, as you can only see the first and the last letter of other bidders names. If one is selling sth, he / she can simply call up 10 friends and shill the price up until next sucker falls into the trap. But I think the worst case is, like previously discussed, it can magically bring up the price of one piece of junk. Say some guy sells "Coheed and Cambria - Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness" for $200, ppl would call him crazy. However, after several auctions, rich idiots got ripped off and ended up buying it for $200, then ppl may see it as a opportunity and all of a sudden, everybody starts to sell it for a similar price. And at the end of the day, everybody becomes gay and you may see ppl calling Gaahl poser but worship old school idol - village people. lol

Whenever I saw something sell for a 'crazy price' (although compared to now I sold some things dirt cheap), and I had it in my collection, I would message the second highest bidder to see if he would buy it from me. I actually made quite a few deals like that. I wouldn't be surprised if ebay changed that policy to avoid people like me avoiding their fees.

It's so damn tempting, I got a back catalog copy of that album once I was a kid long ago, it's a megaforce copy as well, but the only problem is, it has a cut-out not only on the case and booklet, but on the disc as well, the last track was also lost. Everytime I saw the cd, I really want to choke the guy who did this, cuz can he be smartter enough to pick up those gems and cut all the other craps and sell them as cheap plastic material instead?
