Agreed. S.D.I. are pretty much a perfect example of a Speed Metal band. The Erlking wrote:This is bloody fucking great album sure but I always concidered it more as Savage Speed Metal than Thrash. Anyway, great choice®O©O wrote:i would add this ones and skip classics as mine favourites:

'Pleasure to kill' for the total darkness and violence that courses through its veins.
Others not mentioned:
Assassin 'The upcoming terror'
Deathrow 'Satan's gift'
Sepultura 'Morbid visions' (counts as thrash if 'Bloody vengeance' does)
Messiah 'Hymn to Abramelin'
Carrion 'Evil is there'
Flames 'Merciless slaughter'
Second Hell/Skullcrusher 'Metal deadness' LP (more thrash on Second Hell's side)
Necronomicon s/t LP
+ Epicus doomicus metallicus played at 75 rpm.

I'll pick Pleasure to Kill for the intensity, mayhem, youthful enthusiasm and the wonderful nostalgia it comes with. Forget parents, even older brothers regarded this record as worse than the plague.

I remember Pleasure to Kill the same way.. something "untouchable" about this one for an earlier teener like me

in retrospect, it comes near blasphemy to regard any thrash album higher than Reign in Blood, but for Eternal Devastation I'd be going there. for me, the percect thrash album, maybe one of the best metal albums overall. the sound in particular is breathtaking. everytime I put it on I fear it'll shred all the audio equipment.. and what fun hearing it do so!
Pleasure to Kill I'd put the same level as Reign in Blood, Darkness Descends close behind. wasn't aware exactly all those classics were from the same year..
