I thought it was fairly obvious he was talking about Dan Lauzon, the guitarist who made the new batch and told the stories about there being tons of different pressings. It was quite obvious from the pictures that yours were not from this new batch. Relax man.
"Obvious"? Dan was selling "reissues" copies for $180-$300? Are you kidding me, right? It is obvious that he wasn't talking about Dan.

Yes, I was.

What don't you understand about that?

Not everything is about you.

Dan didn't sell any copy for 180-300, at least not from his eBay account. The highest he got was less than 60$ and when he sold his first copy the big money listings were long gone - I've already said that. The 180-300$ copies were sold by someone else and if that someone else was Nebuchadnezzar I can understand why he thought it was about him, although from the context it was clear it was about Dan. You put together two things (180-300$ listings + Dan) that won't fit together and hence the misinterpretations.

In the end, how many pressings are there ? 2 or 3 ? The pic that pan_Heathen posted is the 2010 reissue or some other press ? (surely not the original...)

Only thing I've understood in all this mess is that Sovdat has the 2010 reissue

My photo is also the 2010 press. Nobody proved yet that there are any versions other than the two: 1992 & 2010.

Ok case solved then ;)

Btw, If I see the reissue closely, it seems that the lenght of some songs (the characters on top of the cd) are cut near the inner ring ? 3rd and 6th song...

There was more of these sold on ebay during the last few months when I had originally posted that. The comment regarding the stories of multiple different "re-pressings" was in reference to "Dan" and the others were in reference to his "acquaintances" that were also selling them but at the $180-$300 range starting about a month prior to 2010. Either way, I know what Mr. Nebuchadnezzar's ebay account is and if I was referencing him specifically I would have stated HIS NAME. I don't beat around the bush like he tends to do. Besides, from what I recall he had only sold one copy? At least that's all that I rememeber...

I got in contact with Dan after someone told me he had 'original' copies for sale, and this was his reply:

"Ashen is now on it's 2nd re-issue, anyone who tells you they have the original, is most likely not knowing the difference or bullshitting you.....there is no difference in packaging other than I added my hotmail and took off the old mailing address on the 2nd - sound is bang on as I had the same company do both re-issues.
The packaging is a lil flimsier this time around, as the original was on choice stock and they wanted far too much $$ for it, so I said fuck it....so to ease your pain, I can offer you Ashen with 2 signatures ( me and Ger- vox) on it..."

& next email

"The one's I'm selling now is 3rd series - matrix cd6915 ab02897 with
some other coarc stuff...The biggest misconception with this
release is a- people contacting me telling me they want the Inazone
release, which we started after this disc in time for the 2nd one ( i
actually have people trying to tell me stuff on my band and some gimme
shit hahah, as if) and b-the 1st release was 500 and got scooped up fast
and we ordered another 500 and they went pretty quick too."
Why are a wise man & a wise guy opposites?

Oh yes it sold very very fast... infact I bought the cd in 2001 (NINE years later) from a well known Canadian (PJ) ... and it was still sealed (!)

And that wasn't even the first or the last copy he sold, I remember quite well.

Item name: ENTROPY Ashen existence CD thrash
Item number: 1472003391
Final price: $11.61
End date: Oct-12-01 19:29:20 PDT
Number of bids: 2

The truth is that he wants to make a little bit of confusion on purpose...

at this point, as I was pretty annoyed by some people, I would like to have some information about the Savage Grace "After the fall from grace" CD

I tried to make some researches here on the forum but I couldn't find any topic...or maybe I just didn't see any particular comment on it

assuming that the CD I had was the same shown and described here:

http://www.musik-sammler.de/media/20281

I wonder:

1) was it really rare? A lot pf people wrote to me after a few minutes I put the ad on various forums

2) why people say it is a bootleg? Was the Black Dragon edition intended as a bootleg or were there any further bootleg editions made after it?

3) how much can be extimated the real value of the Black Dragon edition? I gave it for few money, just to make a 3-way exchange with a recent CD but I really have no idea if it was rare or not

Yes both "Savage Grace" Black Dragon have been bootleged, but if you say you bought it in 1996 then it was surely the original.

Yes it is rare and expensive now. Maybe you should have asked before :) who got it made a very good deal (probably the best in his life ^^)

Weren't you a little bit suspicious for all those requests =) ?

no...actually I hadn't any idea if its real value....guessed no more than 20-25 euros and I couldn't sell it at more than 10, being me not a qualified/well known international seller. But luckyly I could get enough money to pay another cd that another friend reserved for me, so it was like a trade...maybe not that good for me but who cares...now it's gone :D

when I tried to put something on sale for a price quite similar to its real value (or, at least the value i could find on ebay or other places) I never got any answer, so I thought that a private/small seller (well, music fan) like me couldn't ask for much....

even because, as you can see, they belong to a whole lot of CD's bought around 1994-1996 by me and my good friend...first time we listened to metal music, and we were always out for cheap cds to buy... and now this friend gave them to me for free, as "they're too old and out of fashion" and because he's listening to disco music now :D

next time I'll check carefully before putting something on sale....:D
