I think it's entirely probable. Maybe even in the high 90s!Avenger wrote:This band belongs in the same group as Demon in my opinion.
Edit: and I just realized that Zherneboh is probably the same guy that gave the voltz album a 97% on the METAL archives...

I agree with zhjed... whatever your user name is. I really like that album. Thumbs up.Zherneboh wrote:BIG LOVE! I can understand someone finding it a bit laid-back...but it has a medieval schmaltzyness/whimsy that I can't resist. And at the very least 'Badon Hill' has a huge fat hairy pair, swinging tween'st its legs as it ricket-edly charges t'wards its enemies on their half-hearted flight. The title-track is beautiful :')Avenger wrote:I can't stand that album.bigfootkit wrote:No love for VOLTZ - Knights Fall?

And what's wrong with that? I mean liking the album so much? I don't care for them much myself but I do like some similar laid back borderline-HM and (JESUS CHRIST!) even non-Metal music a lot.Avenger wrote:This band belongs in the same group as Demon in my opinion.

At the moment my favorite New Wave-longplayer comes from MILLENNIUM ("same" 1984). Bloody great, with all the ingredients that made this genre, or movement if you like, so special.
Second place goes to SLANDER "Careless Talk Costs Live", no need to intruduce them further, if you don't like'em, you (probably) don't like NWOBHM!
Another not so common title is CRYS with "Rhyfelwr". It's not really heavy most of the time, more hard rockish, but the welsh folk influence makes it a special one. And the cover is real treat for all collectors out there!

Nothing really, but this is after all a METAL forum and the thread is based on the NWOBHMETAL scene, so in my opinion listing bands that don't really play Metal or were just a Hard Rock/AOR band that happened to get lumped together with the movement aren't really relevant. I don’t care what anyone says, Voltz aren’t Metal. The Erlking wrote:And what's wrong with that? I mean liking the album so much? Although, this album sounds like it's from '82 this album was released in '91.Sgt. Kuntz wrote:Second place goes to SLANDER "Careless Talk Costs Live", no need to intruduce them further, if you don't like'em, you (probably) don't like NWOBHM!
Heavy Metal? Yes.
NWOBHM? No.
