That Necronomicon and Exumer are ridiculous.

What about Silence ? It was 25$ ok, but still...
But we have a deal: You obviously have your own Viking copy, so you can let me have the spare one for $10 :D
At all. I bought it 15 years ago here in Italy, when you were still watching cartoons on tv. And I even offered you the Viking cd in trade with Silence, with ANOTHER rare cd at your complete choose, but no, you wanted SIX cds in total ^^ so please hide yourself and shame on you :P
I could have used that Silence as I've never owned a copy and it would be going to my personal collection rather then re-selling it for profit. :(

It was a sudden decision to put it on ebay - I needed money badly at the time. Otherwise I'd put it on forums and wait for the right offer - in fact I got Magnus - I Was Watching My Death offer when it was already on ebay so I refused it.

Of those 6 CDs, I only really want Viking, which is a $60 - $70 CD, and the others are just non-priority wants for which I would never pay the asking price (OK, I would pay the price Kruiz was selling 2 years ago, not nowadays). As said, the "ebay value" of these 6 CDs is somewhere similar to that two Silence copies ($308 & $330+).

So what's the big deal? Am I to blame because I bought that copy on ebay - which was available to all of you as it was to me?? Avenger you admitted that you bought a bunch of CDs for few bucks and quickly sold them on ebay - for profit. Hell I could've used that Accuser and some more for my own collection too. Helstar you admitted to buy a bunch of CDs for next to nothing - OK, that was years ago (even Sindrome, for which the band asked you not to sell but you didn't remove it from ebay??) - now you're selling Dream Theater CD for $666 for example.

There are thousands of re-sellers that are doing that all the time. I clearly admit that I'll take any chance if I see a rare CD being offered for a cool price (which happens few times a year). I don't have much chances to do that outside the ebay, but should I feel ashamed because I took what was there for all of you to take? Should I feel ashamed because I asked much more than I paid? Hell no. And obviuosly neither do you two, so get over it ;)

I "admitted" ? I bought most of my cds when they were published. That's why they were cheap, you know (10$ was a common price even 20 years ago). But you weren't even born so your point of view is perfectly understandable. It's not your blame ^^

They didn't ask me anything, Starlighthoney was their 'target' at the end of his auction, and he mailed me seeing I put another one up (nice from him, don't know how many people would have done that).
now you're selling Dream Theater CD for $666 for example.
That is a "joke" price. I don't know its value so I put that amount with free offers to see what the average is. After some time and offers now I have an idea of what's worth, I can even close the auction now and wait for a good trade (that's the spirit when I'm not broke ^^) ... I never wanted 666$ for it lol :P

You haven't understood anything, if you want I explain again but nevermind...
This means one thing only: war. Win the best ... and don't cry if you see a Viking cd won by me for 5$

It's sad that you are mentioning the age thing all the time. Older people usually do that when they don't have the real arguments. By the way, I'm still watching cartoons and I was alive 20 years ago ;)

I am not a common member in ebay wars neither, especially not when it is about the CD I already have.

OK, let me see your explanation once again :)

I was kidding. Although, the difference between the CD's that I sold last month and the Silence were that the CD's I bought were from local record shops during a work trip, not online.

So helstar saw the auction first and sent you the link for the Silence?

Check the "Metal Conquest" sub-forum. I had originally stickied a thread there about it. It should still be floating around on the second page or something.

Regarding the Viking CD, I've only ever seen cut-out copies go for around the $60 mark but then again, I haven't been looking for this CD since I got my copy. Have there been more recent auctions for that price?

No.

Not lately, but I've seen complete copies go in the $65 range, inside and outside the ebay. I should get that one 5 years ago in a trade but the seller ripped me off :(

Here is another rip off:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0482274582

I asked the seller (their guitar player Dean) if this is a 1st press or some kind of reissue and he told me that I can get anyone, so I bought it and asked for the original ... I finally received the package today (it was sent 3 weeks later than I paid ...) and got a fucking cdr with a sticker on it. (And not even in a regular jewel case, but packed in a tin one with printed front insert only). Unbelievable ...

It's not sad, it's the truth ... I've said that I bought most of my cds before internet (I got a connection on december 1999) ! So I don't know what do you mean with "no arguments", if the truth is "no argument" then I don't know ^^

Also, don't say you were also buying cds when you were a child because that's NOT true
OK, let me see your explanation once again :)

Of course, even in details. I have some ebay searches. I receve an email, Silence cd is on auction. I click on the auction, it's already gone for 25$.
I ask to the seller and he says a slovenian guy won it. I already knew it was you, and I also knew you already have your own copy. I asked to trade it, and you want 300$ or 6 cds.
I didn't even ask to let me take it for 25$ ... just wanted to make you and me happy, Viking and another cd was more than fair I think.
Is it clear now ? Probably for everybody except you.

Ok, I'd say it's enough of this. Solve it via pm or just don't deal with each other anymore.

I never complained about anything considering Silence (btw - I don't have it saved to my favorite searches) here or elsewhere - it was you who kept mentioning the same old thing over and over again. I didn't find your offer good enough - the CD is gone now, get over it. I could care the fuck less what you were doing 15 years ago and how much you paid for / got for certain CDs, but it's ridiculous to bash other people around when they're occasionaly cashing in some CDs, and painting yourself as Marie Therese of metal collecting while selling & getting huge $$$ for your CDs at the same time.

Over & out.

As promised, it clearly show a difference between ebay europe and .com, availability of paypal or IBAN/BIC, but mainly the difference between shill bidding and normal bids ^^
