Swedish Singing Metal Bands

Post by Fucking Åmål »

OK i am interested in any 80's metal bands obscure or not that sing in Swedish.Swedish is a language with strange pronunciation and when is singed it is very glooooommmmy! It suits very well with the obscure and doomy stuff.Sadly only few had chosen to sing in Swedish. So i want to seen more refered.

ONYX
WULCAN
VICTIM
OVERLORD
and more which i can't think right now, more?
Fuck!that Epicus Doomicus Metallicus LP from Candlemass i wished it was done in Swedish Language!

Interesting you'd say that. Being swedish and thus understanding the language I could never interprete it as "gloomy". 8)

The Nattsvart 7" is mandatory of course, and Helvetets Port continue the tradition partly.
There were a bunch of demo acts in the 80's who sang in swedish - and some which did singles, but most swedish singing units were quite pub rockish.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found! :D

True - and OVERLORD was one of the worst ones imo. There's no coincident it didn't make the 707-list. Some of those early Hard Rock singles have grown on me through the years though, like JEREMIAH, TYFUZ, VAMPA and especially the Heavy & Moodfilled WAGABOND! I'm gonna go through the archives tonight and throw together something for a special thread on the subject in Poisonoise tomorrow.

As for demos I can only think of the fantastic JONAH QUIZZ right now.
