My latest discovery: SEXIT

Post by DaN »

I was browsing M-A some weeks ago for something completely unrelated and stumbled upon this funny band name. Turns out they made a s/t LP in 1992 that I’ve never seen or heard about before. I later found a few mp3s from it and after some more digging, a mailorder that had 1 copy for sale. It just came home to papa so here’s a steamin’ hot rip for your enjoyment.

Pure Heavy/Power excellence (4 swords!) and one of the best classic HM lps I’ve heard from former Czechoslovakia. They're definitely an original bunch, plenty of light & shade in each song - and fans of the "Russian" brand of epic melodies & sung structures will get a kick out of this I'm sure. Apparently they turned into folksy, modern rock/hr/metal later on, so if that’s how you know them you should still give this LP a chance.

I grabbed this a few years ago for peanuts off ebay, cool obscurity to own but honestly I've never been really moved by the music. Decent but not special in any way, imo.

This actually is really good. Sounds typical Czech but also fresh in some way.
Was it released on CD?

Rough, yet quit melodic, and interesting songwriting. We have a winner here!
