I have a couple of spare ones myself, but I also have stuff from OPM that I didn't get it directly from the label. Actually, I've bought most of them from local distros/record fairs. I can understand it if you don't buy from glockose/rattlehead all the time or if you have never bought from them at all. However if you are regurarly buying from them it's probable that you have spares from all OPM releases.nightsblood wrote:I thought it was funny b/c anyone who has bought from Glock- over the years is bound to have a stack of extra OPM covers laying around. Bidding for one on ebay is almost like bidding on an empty jewel case

Probably the dude just forgot to number that particular copy. If I were you I'd hand number it #001/500 and sell it on eBay

it is still incomplete though, music can be found on recorded tapes,CD-rs and mp3 files, why buy a record when the cover is missing?I saw a LIPS LP selling at eBay the other day without P/S,starting price at $90 and one bid on it,innersleeve wrinkled if I can recall...Don't know how much it ended but isn't that unsubstantial doing it just for the music?I also hate when the inserts are missing in records, damn that makes me frustrated...MEXDefenderOfSteel wrote:same? one actually has the music, the other....notTrigger wrote:is it the first time you see a plain cover being sold? It's exactly the same when the vinyl is sold without the sleeve, not strange to me at all...

While it is a dirty trick by the seller, in this day and age there's no excuse for a buyer to be surprised by an album he purchases. The fact that there are samples on YouTube demonstrates just how easy it is to check out an album BEFORE you buy.Andreas wrote:I would love to see the look on the face of the guy who buys this lovely piece of US Steel.
They should crucify the seller, tho.
The Buyer is always responsible for knowing what he is purchasing.
If you pay for a record you've never heard and expect it to be some uber-kvlt lost Heavy Metal Gem just b/c the seller says it is, well, you get what you deserve.

Exactly.
In this day and ago of the internet and EBAY. Everyone & Anyone can sell records. I am NOT defenting the seller BUT I simply think they just dont know the differance.
I have 100's of records that Soul, R&B, Disco, County Record Dealers have sent me claiming them to be Heavy Metal that dont even come close.
As a Matter of fact I have the record in question ....
THIS IS NOT A METAL RECORD
And the dealer should know that..........
