Ha, just discovered the 'secret track' on the "Master Of Disguise" LP (US pressing) for the first time.
I've totally missed out on this one before. Had the record spinning on the run-out grooves for about half an hour since I was too lazy to turn it off, then came these weird, distorted noises from out of nowhere. Funny...

What's the difference between the US and other pressing? I'm not sure which one I have. If I've the US Pressing I'll need to check it out.DaN wrote:Ha, just discovered the 'secret track' on the "Master Of Disguise" LP (US pressing) for the first time.

..though that "bonus track" might be on the Black Dragon version as well, I don't know. I don't have it to compare with.

I don't think that's a 'secret track' or any intentional 'easter egg'. I mean how did they manage to 'hide' the audio under the grooves and only to let it unlocked after running the needle over it for 30 minutes? A LP (both sides combined) can only have around 40 min of playing time if I'm not wrong.
The noise signal might be a result of 'over-heating' needle cutting on the same groove? My advice is don't do that to your turntable...

I pulled out my copy to check this. It isn't hidden in the physical sense, you can see the grooves, but the needle can't get to the last grooves on its own without lifting the needle to move it there. I also noticed the 'noises' sound better if you change the speed to 45rpm. very unusual.

Could have been a lot worse. Like Mem Von Stein singing the old Exumer classics in a hardcore fashion...
